First Time Client Guide
Before Your First Appointment
Hair Length
For waxing, hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice (about ¼ inch). If you've shaved recently, wait at least two weeks before booking. Hair that is too short may not remove effectively and may require rescheduling.
Skin, Medications & Health Considerations
Please let Amelle know before your appointment if you:
Are pregnant
Use prescription or topical retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene, or similar)
Take medications that may increase skin sensitivity
Have very sensitive skin or a history of skin reactions
Have recently used exfoliating products or treatments
Do Not Book If...
For your safety, please do not schedule a waxing appointment if you:
Have used Accutane within the last 12 months
Have open cuts, wounds, or broken skin in the treatment area
Have active infections or contagious skin conditions
Have a severe sunburn
Have had recent chemical peels or aggressive exfoliation on the treatment area
If you're unsure whether waxing is right for your current skin condition, please reach out before booking.
For Bikini & Intimate Services
Please arrive clean and fresh. A shower before your appointment is recommended, and we kindly ask that you avoid coming straight from the gym. Cleansing wipes are available in the studio and we ask that every client use one before their service begins. Avoid lotions, oils, or heavy products on the treatment area.
After Your Appointment
For the first 24-48 hours:
Avoid hot baths, hot tubs, saunas, and steam
Avoid intense exercise and excessive sweating
Avoid swimming
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds
Avoid fragranced or harsh products on the treated area
Wear loose, breathable clothing, especially after bikini services
Mild redness and sensitivity are normal and will calm quickly. Once your skin has settled, gentle regular exfoliation helps prevent ingrown hairs. Keep the area moisturized with a gentle, fragrance-free product.
For best results, book every 4-6 weeks.
