FAQs

How do I book an appointment

1

All appointments are booked online. Click “Book Now”, choose your service, and select a time that works for you. A valid card is required to hold your spot. You do not need to create an account to book, you can book as a guest if you’d like.

How much does a Brazilian wax cost?

2

A Brazilian is $70 and includes the Dérrière. If you come in monthly, the maintenance rate is only $60. First-time Brazilian sugaring is $100 - it takes a little longer and uses a gentler method, which is why the price is different.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

3

The first time can be uncomfortable, but most clients are surprised by how manageable it is, and it gets easier every time. I work quickly, use professional-grade wax made for sensitive skin, and I'll walk you through what to expect. A lot of first-timers come in nervous and leave already thinking about their next appointment.

What’s the difference between waxing and sugaring?

4

Both remove hair from the root, the difference is in the method and how it feels on your skin. Waxing uses hard or soft wax. Sugaring uses a natural paste made of sugar, lemon, and water that adheres only to the hair, not the skin. It's gentler, which makes it a great option if you have sensitive skin or have found traditional waxing uncomfortable. Not sure which is right for you? Reach out before you book and I'll help you figure it out.

Can I come in if I’m on my period?

5

Yes. For bikini and intimate services, a tampon needs to be in place for your appointment. Please also arrive clean and fresh (skip the gym beforehand if possible). Cleansing wipes are available in the studio and every client is asked to use one before their service.

How often should I get waxed?

6

It depends on your hair growth rate, but typically every 4 to 6 weeks is the sweet spot. The more consistent you are, the easier your appointments get. Hair grows back softer and finer over time. If you come in monthly for a Brazilian, the maintenance rate drops to $60.

How long should my hair be?

7

At least the length of a grain of rice (about ¼ inch). If you've shaved recently, wait at least two weeks. Hair that's too short won't grip and your appointment may need to be rescheduled. When in doubt, wait a few extra days.

I use retinol. Can I still get waxed?

8

It depends on the type. Over-the-counter retinol products like those found in most drugstore or skincare brand moisturizers are generally fine, though it's still a good idea to skip application for a day or two before your appointment. Prescription retinoids are a different story. Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene, and similar prescription-strength products thin the skin over time, which makes it much more vulnerable to lifting or tearing during waxing. If you're using anything prescription-strength, please discontinue it for at least two weeks before your appointment and let me know when you book. When in doubt, just ask.
